Storytelling is a powerful tool for increasing the self-esteem of young people! Self-awareness and self-esteem are vital to the development of the whole child, beyond what is measurable by a test score. Whether through journaling, spoken stories, or rap songs, discovering one’s "own voice" is the key to expanding students' writing, reading and public speaking skills, elevating self-esteem, empathy and resilience. In this lively, interactive session, educators will learn to inspire collaboration, writing, and public speaking through fun and engaging strategies that call on students to share their stories!
