Up to 1 in 5 children live with a mental health condition that affects behavior, emotional management, or learning. Yet it can be difficult to know how to help these children. As an overview of children’s and adolescent mental health issues, this workshop will educate you about mental health diagnoses for children and adolescents, other factors that may contribute to children’s mental health, and common types of mental health therapy for children and families. You’ll participate in a resilience-building activity and learn ways to support children and families as they cope with mental health issues.

Enroll Wyoming will then discuss the importance of access to mental health care for children and their families and review opportunities for care givers to provide information and resources for children and families they serve.
