Tara Pappas is the Arts Education Specialist for the Wyoming Arts Council (WAC). Formerly a k-12 visual art educator, she has the honor of working with k-12 arts educators, after-school educators, post-secondary professors, teaching artists, museums, and community organizations to provide the arts to all citizens in Wyoming. Tara oversees Arts Education grants, providing support to further arts education and programming throughout the state. She is currently working to develop and implement a strategy for STEM to STEAM and arts integration initiatives, and presents at education conferences around the state. Tara also serves as coordinator for Wyoming's Poetry Out Loud Competitions, and is working with state educators to encourage participation in this year's events. In addition to her work with the arts council, Tara is a studio artist, actively creating mixed media paintings, teaching community workshops, and exhibiting in galleries, juried shows and exhibitions throughout the region.
